Phone hardware diagnostic test and check
Phone Test provides a free phone hardware diagnostic test for checking everyday functions in your browser. Use this online phone check to inspect your screen, touch response, audio and cameras step by step. A phone hardware check records your observations; it does not certify the condition of your device. Run a mobile phone test before buying a used device, after a repair, or when something feels wrong. Start the guided phone diagnostic test or choose one component. Each result combines browser behavior with what you see, hear or feel; nothing is automatically certified as healthy.
Before starting, uncover the microphone and camera lens. Keep this tab visible, use a current browser, and avoid testing inside social media apps. Permission prompts appear when you start the relevant test. You can skip individual checks without losing earlier results in this same browser tab.
Screen test and dead pixel check
Start the screen test with a clean display and comfortable brightness. Inspect white, black, red, green, blue and grey backgrounds for persistent dots, uneven patches or lingering images. Use the gradient and checkerboard patterns to inspect transitions and edges. A phone dead pixel test is a visual check: the website cannot identify damaged pixels automatically or repair screen burn-in.
Touch test and multi-touch response
For the touch test, slowly drag a finger across all 48 tiles, including corners and edges. Repeat any missed area, then try several fingers together. Watch the current contacts and highest simultaneous count. Unfilled tiles can mean you missed a spot or triggered a system gesture. Clean and dry the screen, restart the test, and compare repeatable behavior before reporting an issue.
Microphone test with recording playback
Run the microphone test in a quiet room. Disconnect Bluetooth devices and headsets if you want to check the phone microphone. Allow access, record a short sentence, then listen to the playback. Look for understandable speech without unexpected gaps or crackling. A moving level meter alone does not prove recording quality. If permission is blocked, allow access in browser and device settings before retrying.
Speaker test for left and right audio
Begin the speaker test at low volume and raise it gently. Play both channels, then left and right separately. Listen for missing sound, rattling or distortion. Your operating system chooses the output route, so connected earbuds may play instead of the phone. Stereo channels do not identify individual physical speakers, and this test cannot independently verify the call earpiece. Compare with familiar audio if uncertain.
Camera test for front and rear views
Complete a camera test for the front and rear cameras separately. Give permission only when ready, uncover the lens, and check a well-lit scene. Compare a nearby object with something farther away. Select another available camera if the preview is wrong. Browsers may not expose every lens or confirm its direction. Your preview stays locally in the browser and stops when you leave the test.
Motion sensor and gyroscope checks
The motion sensor test displays available acceleration and rotation-rate readings. Grant access if requested, hold the phone still, then tilt it gently. Values should respond where supported. Missing readings can reflect browser restrictions, not failed sensors. This check does not calibrate the gyroscope or prove that automatic screen rotation works in every app.
Understand your phone check report
Review Working, Issue noticed, Skipped and Not supported separately. Download your observations or use Print / Save PDF before closing the session. This phone test online does not verify battery health, water resistance, IMEI status, account locks or malware. For persistent problems, compare the native app and seek an appropriate repair assessment. Use the report as an inspection aid, never a guarantee.
GPS / location test
Use this GPS test online to check whether your phone can provide a location through the browser. Start the location check, allow permission and inspect latitude, longitude and the reported accuracy in metres. Wait for updates near a window or outdoors if the estimate is broad. The browser may combine GPS, Wi-Fi and cellular positioning, so this is a location test rather than a satellite scanner or a GPS-chip certification. Coordinates are not added to your phone check report. Location permission denied or a timeout should be investigated before assuming damage.
Bluetooth test (BLE)
The Bluetooth test online uses Web Bluetooth to select a nearby Bluetooth Low Energy accessory and attempt a GATT connection. Turn Bluetooth on and make your own compatible accessory discoverable, then select it in the browser's chooser. Selecting a device is not the same as connecting: use Connect to perform the connection check. No service values are read or written. This does not measure Bluetooth speed, range, signal strength or headset audio. If the browser lacks this feature, use the phone's Bluetooth settings for a separate manual check.
Flashlight / torch test
Run the flashlight test online to check the phone's physical LED torch where camera controls allow it. First grant rear-camera access, then turn the torch on and confirm whether the LED actually lights up. Stop releases the camera; an active torch is automatically stopped after fifteen seconds. Some devices expose a camera preview but no torch capability. An unsupported result is not proof of a broken flashlight. Compare with the built-in torch button. Phone Test never substitutes a white screen and calls it a successful LED test.
